Due to the lockdown taking place in March 2020, most of in field sales activities came to a full stop. Well educated and experiences medical sales representatives out of the sudden, were forced to engage with their HCPs via phone. All this in a situation in which is best descibed as "challenging".Credopard, therefore, inaugurated its Corona-Response-Concept. One element of CRC provided professional training for medical sales representatives for enabling them to perform well when approaching clients via phone. The overall response was extreamly positive. Our latest survey showed, that more than two third of all participants saw an increase in their call rate and - even more important - in their sales results.

German surgeries went through an impressive learning curve concerning the use of digital solutions. Before Corona, most of HCPs had massive concerns about the use of video calls and many even did not hold an internet connection in the surgery.. The boost of digital solutions implemented in the last couple of weeks make it very exepctable that finally  Remote eDetailing will encounter increasing acceptance also in Germany.

So, Corona has helped to grow overall acceptance of a tool, which is already standard in Scandinavia, the US and also the UK. It is very unlikely that this trend will be reversed and therefore, it is highly recommendable for pharmaceutical companies to act now.
